From the free photo library Unsplash, I came across a beautiful portrait image by @thoughtcatalog. And so began to experiment with keeping some figurative reference but also re-inventing it with a new background colour and abstract brushmarks. The result is the first of a likely new series of abstract graphical portraits - this first one having the simple title Cherry - as a reference to cherry blossom and a possible name of the woman in the picture.
