Gateshead Open Studios 2019: Sunday 27 October
Taking place across the half term weekend of Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th October 2019, Gateshead Open Studios (GOS) provides a rare opportunity for the public to meet local artists/designers in their studios and discuss their creative processes, as well as exploring art & design features of historic venues.
As a walking trail, GOS combines the concepts of ‘Open Studios’ and ‘Open Doors’, inviting visitors into selected venues in Gateshead, many of which are normally closed to the public.
We will run free creative workshop activities, welcoming all ages and abilities to take part as well as opportunities to watch the creative process. The project provides an opportunity for the creatives involved to sell their products directly to buyers.
